Never had one, hopefully I never will. I'm pretty scared of ever catching one, so I make an effort to avoid it. It's pretty lame, especially when I find out others have one, and I have to go through all the people any I sleep with has slept with. But it's better to be safe than sorry I guess.
There are actually over 120 strains of it. And, although it's common, if I remember correctly, about 70%-80% of people have it. Plus, I think you may have the wording wrong. Anyone who's had any sort of sexual contact can have it, but it doesn't necessarily mean they have it or have been exposed to it.
Fair enough. And with there being 120+ strains... that kinda puts me more at ease. I go back for another check up by December, so we'll see what happens. From the way it sounded, if I had it, it was minor and not worth stressing over.
Other than that, any of the other STDs that are listed, thankfully I'm in the clear and have never had any of them.
I'm fairly optimistic about it. There's two out of three possibilities I'll be happy with: either the abnormal cells arent there anymore or if they're still there, there's no change or growth. The latter was what they told me last time and I'd apparently had the abnormal cells for 6 months or so. So if there's no change over the course of another 6 months, I'll go back for another follow-up to help monitor it.
