There are definitely Americans with accents, but I feel as a whole, American English has less of an Accent. Whenever I hear British English it sounds like every word is italicized. But at the same time, the British spoke English first...
oops.. i misinterpreted the question. I thought u meant which accent do u prefer. But yeah. We all have different accents to people from other places X
Well, I am canadian, so to me they both have accents. It also depends on where they are from, because sometimes neither seem to have accents. Reminds me of this comic though, which I will post later, because the site it's on is down right now. O.o
This poll makes me laugh! A lot of people appear to be assuming English people have no regional dialects. Trust me, there is no 'English' accent in the same where there is no generic American accent. I think American's have a tendency to assume we all speak like the queen, and we assume most American's speak in the accent the majority of American actors have (I don't know what region it is, sorry. I'm completely ignorant when it comes to regional dialects in America!)
I wonder what you would all think if you moved to Newcastle, or spent a day walking around my home town Leicester or even Birmingham
