I guess its "like" them now, don't go there very often. If an artists shows there page/group whatever its called I'll join it but I don't "friend" them. Some just make a normal page & I did that friend thing but I wish it was just a group/page.
I made my page, and put very limited information on it. The main idea of a page is to promote yourself and your work as an artist. Think of it as a DA, cause it's very similar. You post your pictures, people like them and give you feedback. They 'like' you (watchers) and keep watching your work. I personally do not add anyone I don't know or have never seen face to face on to my FB. A page is public, a profile is private
It really depend of the deviants! Some deviant make a FB for his work and i "like it" but if it's a more "personal" FB i "friend" it. But in all the case i really need to follow it and love it from a while!
If you friend them then they can see your personal info. For me, I like having a like page because then I can accumulate likers without them knowing my personal info (I did it the other way before, and some avid stalkers got my cell phone number and home address...not fun).
You know, that's a really good point. I don't have a page for myself, I just have a regular personal Facebook account. But I created lists so that only my real-life friends can see my personal info. It's working out pretty well so far.

I feel like I am forced to use the site nowadays.
