i think every religion should be taught in schools, so kids can learn about them all and not have whichever religion is forced on them by there parents. i guessed forced is the wrong word. kindof a children see, children do type thing.

Why should it not? The Evolution theory and the big bang theory is taught? So why not the Creation theory. And teach people about the other theories, not just the ones that everyone else thinks is right.

I'm not at all religious, and don't really believe in a god (though I can't say there isn't one either - agnostic), but I did take a theology class and I enjoyed it. I think it's a good thing for people to learn about all of the major belief systems, and the best chance of getting an unbiased view of them would be in school.

I think it would be interesting to see that point of view, but things like evolution can't be denied and should be teached also.

No, people get extremely touchy when dealing with religion, plus science. i personally find it almost impossible to believe in god because of science. and there are so many religions. i think i'd be okay with learning about a religion that isnt very popular, and having the choice. at my school we have a prayer club.

Only private schools should teach it if they wish.

I don't believe creationism should be taught it any school that is publicly funded (the constitution prohibits that anyway) for those who attend public schools the proper place to learn creationism would be in the church of their choosing (that way they get the version and/or theory they require or feel necessary for their belief system) any religious teachings should be kept in a religious setting - that helps keep it from being distorted by the politics and prejudice we all have to live with. I'll probably get flamed by someone for my beliefs - but that's ok - we are all entitled to what we believe whether you or I or anyone else agrees or disagrees.

I go to a catholic school (so I have to learn it even though I'm not catholic or religious at all) but I do think it should be taught in all schools to give people the ideas of differences in culture and stuff like that. I also have to do religion for the whole of my schooling (its compulsory at my school) but we still learn about what other religions believe and we learn evolution in science.

but I think they should learn about it but not enforce in a "this is right, evolution is wrong" kind of way. My school is religious but they don't force it upon the people in the school that aren't which is really good.
