FAQI've noticed that some people on deviantART refer to their watchers as their "fans" and to be honest, I find this a little weird.
I don't consider my watchers to be my fans. I see a fan as someone who likes you while a watcher is someone who just likes your work. I'm pretty certain that anyone who's watching me is doing so because they like my photography. I doubt any of my watchers actually give a fuck about my life. I'm just a college student on my way to get a Bachelors of Science in biology . . . nothing special. I lead a fairly normal life with my family, friends, boyfriend, and cat. Overall, I'm not that interesting, haha.
I actually find it a bit cocky when someone considers their watchers to be their fans. Granted, there are a select few professional artists on deviantART who really do have fans, but chances are, you're just someone with a deviantART account. So don't let those 20 fans watchers inflate your ego. ;D

Thanks to Misery, "I'M YOUR BIGGEST FAN" is kind of creepy now xD
I find it sounds really conceited if somebody refers to his/her watchers as his/her 'fans'
Although I have noticed that some people refer to themselves as 'supporters' and going onto their profiles, you can see that they have never uploaded any content themselves (and they weren't new members) and just
I guess 'supporter' is a nicer word and isn't as intense as 'fan'. But I don't think I have anything against a supporter on deviantART. Whatever floats their boat.
I never tried this emoticon
