Theme: Modernized Mythology
This month's contest is about modernized mythology. The theme might be a bit vague, but that just leaves it open to interpretation which will allow more room for creativity and originality. 
Rules
- READ ALL THE RULES.
- Your entry must somehow depict modernized mythology. In the deviation's description, it would be nice if you could explain how your entry relates to our theme so that when the judges are choosing their favorite entries, we don't have to guess what your entry is about.
- You must be a member of Things-Not-Seen. To become a member, simply go to our group --> things-not-seen.deviantart.com… and click "Join our Group" at the side of the page.
- After you've uploaded your entry to deviantART, submit it to the group's favs in the "Contest: Modernized Mythology" folder. Don't know how to do this? Go here → things-not-seen.deviantart.com…
- Remember, our group is all about originality and unusuality, so be as creative as possible.
- All mediums will be accepted.
- Both old and new deviations will be accepted.
- Only one entry per person. But you can chose to change your entry before the deadline.
- The deadline for all entries is January 31, 2012 at 11:59PM Eastern.
- If it wasn't mentioned, it's not a rule.

Prizes
Prizes include a premium membership. For a full and updated list of prizes, go here → things-not-seen.deviantart.com…Any prizes will be gratefully accepted, so if you'd like to donate a prize, just note me. I'll accept anything, features, subscriptions, ect. And, if you'd like to donate some points, I have a donation pool set up on my profile. Anyone who donates at least 50 points will get a feature on my page.
You can still enter the contest if you donate a prize and I always let the prize donators know when the winners are announced. =]
Judging
More judges will be added soon.
Judging will basically consist of this:
After the deadline, I'll note all the judges with a link to all the entries. The judges will then chose their top 5 entries and rate each from 1-10, 10 being the highest. Then they'll note me back with their selection and rating and I'll add up all the ratings and the three highest will be our three winners.
If you'd like to be a judge, first make sure you're a member of this group. Then note me letting me know, and in that note, please tell me why you'd be a good judge.
I'm looking for people with a good eye to be judges! ;D
Judges are still allowed to enter the competition and I only reply to those being considered!
PHOTOGRAPHER FRIENDS: I need your help!
PHOTOGRAPHER FRIENDS: I need your help! I'm trying to decide between the Canon 24mm 1.4L lens and the Canon 50mm 1.2L.
If you've been following any of my work, you know that I primarily like to photograph landscapes/ street, and will occasionally dabble in portraiture. I've always been particular to wide-angle lens, but the 50mm lens is so attractive because of that butter-smooth bookeh.
So which one should it be? Any tips will be greatly appreciated. :D

Sounds good, I'd love to enter! Can you explain what you mean by modernized mythology, though? Is it a spin off of Greek, Roman, Norse, etc. myths in modern day or something>
