Vision
Originality Technique ImpactThis picture has an "old" feel to it, circa WWII. The subtle colors, combined with the lighting and shadow play all adds to the mood of sadness.
The cracking in the paint along with the larger link chain draws the eye to view the pendant. The pendant and the smaller chain draws the eye up the cup and to the small piece of window.
It makes you wonder if she was looking at the pendant heartbroken, and she haphazardly laid it down before walking away.
The mood set in a photograph is what draws me in first. Then the usage of space, both negative and positive, then into the details.
Bloodpromiser has done very well with this photograph. This is one worthy of matting and hanging.
